Dear Quentin, Varos, Shyama, Greg, John and Dmitry I hope your travel home was smooth. Thank you very much once again to all of you for the valuable and very enjoyable discussion in Leipzig. Dmitry will be following up on some of the matters arising, but a few items from me: 1. I have drafted an *Interim Report*. Please could you have a look, add/edit by the *30th June*. The file '*Report Topics*' remains under development as we all worked on it from Leipzig, including the lists of recommendations. Submission of Interim Report and Tasks for Melbourne

Dear Greg, Varos, Quentin, Shyama and John *Interim Report* Attached is the Interim Report for GBIF that I have sent to Dmitry. Thanks to those who added comments and suggestions. There are two attachments to the report - one the copy of the survey that Dmitry will add, and two the draft, provisional set of recommendations. Hello all, Please let me know if there is anything, except appending the survey, needed from my end to help you finish the interim report [1] on time. FYI I am in the office this week and on 1 Aug, then out of office from 2 till 14 Aug (limited internet). Thanks to all who met the DL for travel report from Leipzig, and I am waiting for 1 or 2 before we start preparing for the Melbourne meeting. Hello, Here is the event next week with some IUCN and iDigBio sessions listed, which I overlooked http://www.islandbiology2016.uac.pt/#page1x4 If any of you know anyone attending, I'd appreciate contact info for a last moment attempt to GBIFy the talk - I would at least let people know about the IAS fitness for use group and maybe a few general GBIF slides. Please let me know how do you follow relevant events? I know this system http://www.nature.com/natureevents/science/ but maybe there are better alternatives? Try e.g. searching for "data".
