[Bid-community] Introducing André Heughebaert

Dear BID colleagues,

My name is André Heughebaert, I'm working at the Belgian Biodiversity Platform http://www.biodiversity.be/ as GBIF Node Manager for Belgium since 2005.

My expertise covers Data management and quality, technical training, advocating Open Data and advising data holders.

I was involved in previous Capacity Enhancement projects with Mauritania, Togo and the Philippines.

I'm also managing the Platform IT team that develop and host a bunch of IT solutions for the scientific community.

I'm Civil Engineer in Computer Sciences and Master in Environmental Management.

I prefer using Open Source Software such as PostgreSQL, QGIS, OpenRefine, LibreOffice or the Ruby language.
