My name is André Heughebaert, I'm working at the Belgian Biodiversity Platform as GBIF Node Manager for Belgium since 2005.

My expertise covers Data management and quality, technical training, advocating Open Data and advising data holders.

I was involved in previous Capacity Enhancement projects with Mauritania, Togo and the Philippines.

I'm also managing the Platform IT team that develop and host a bunch of IT solutions for the scientific community.

I'm Civil Engineer in Computer Sciences and Master in Environmental Management.
