Hi Giri,

Derek has been in touch and will do that.
IPT announcements go through this list, so you should be good now.

Cheers,
Tim

Thanks!, I would like to receive an email when a new IPT version rolls out, is there a distribution list for receiving new version upgrade notices?

Derek - can you please send your zip file to Kyle and Tim?
Thanks!

Giri

Access to that breaking zip file would be very useful as zipped files should work fine suggesting it is possible it could be created in an format not seen before.

As an aside, I see you are on 2.0.2 which is quite an old release, but since 2.0.4 is due out imminently (less than 1 week) you should probably not upgrade, but in future I would urge you to follow the minor releases (e.g. 2.0.2, 2.0.3, 2.0.4 etc) as upgrades are painless but bring many bug fixes.

Cheers,
Tim

Dear Giri,

Maybe you can try v2.0.3 at http://ipt.gbif.org<http://ipt.gbif.org/> using the following account: palanisamyg at ornl.gov<mailto:palanisamyg at ornl.gov> / password

I just tried it using the attached zip file and it worked fine.

Indeed there is a 100MB limit on uploads right now. Usually if a user has a larger file, we recommend it be broken into several files that get uploaded separately. These then get combined during publishing. Provided the file uses DwC column header names, auto mapping is done of course.

Please let me know how you get on. If you want to send me the archive so that I can take a look feel free.

Best regards,

Kyle

The zip file upload to the IPT was not successful. I was able to zip the csv to an acceptable size and added it to the resource, however the file appears unreadable.

See screen capture below

Subject: IPT Max File Size Limit

Hello,

Ran into this error in attempting upload of MARIS - screenshot image below. This is a 1million record dataset. The file size limit on the IPT appears to be set at 100mb.

I'm going to run compression to create a zip archive as it appears that IPT may be able to handle a zip file.

Is there any way to increase the file size limit?

Thanks,
