Dear Bruce,

The current status is the following:
- The IPT is currently undergoing user testing by a group of testers
familiar with the IPT
- The issues list is an accurate assessment of the status: http://code.google.com/p/gbif-providertoolkit/issues/list
   - There is an issue indicating that the roadmap needs updating http://code.google.com/p/gbif-providertoolkit/issues/detail?id=348
- The user manual drafting has just begun

That said, pending successful testing, which will progressively
include more people, we anticipate the IPT 2.0 will be ready for
deployment in January. However, this is contingent on successful user
testing.

If you are familiar with the IPT then you might consider downloading
and testing the current "ipt 2.0 snapshot" from http://code.google.com/p/gbif-providertoolkit/downloads/list
To install it, you should drop the .war file into Tomcat.

I hope this helps.

Best wishes,
Tim
