Good Morning,
We have implemented IPT at our institution ( http://i2d.humboldt.org.co/ceiba/).
We need to do the harvest this catalog with others who have implemented.
According to this URL: http://gbif.blogspot.com.co/2011/04/oia-pmh-harvesting-at-gbif.html
It can be done, someone could help us?
Thanks,
Regards
Hi Carlos,
I am afraid that post relates to a different area of work that was at that time abandoned - you can’t harvest from an IPT using the OAI-PMH protocol.
However, we will shortly be implementing an OAI-PMH feed from GBIF.org directly, which can be parameterised by country. E.g. provide an OAI-PMH feed of datasets published by Brazil. All the datasets published by your IPT network could then be accessed through that feed. Would that be a suitable solution for you?
We expect this live within a few weeks, as it is under active development at the moment.
Thanks, Tim

Hi Carlos,
I'm one of the developers working on implementing the OAI-PMH feed on GBIF.org, which Tim mentioned.
I'm still learning about the protocol, but I'd expect to publish each dataset registered with GBIF in at least three OAI-PMH "Sets": - country, - dataset type (occurrence/checklist), - installation.
Would that help you?
Matt

Hi Carlos,
The OAI-PMH[1] service is now running on GBIF infrastructure.
The following example will retrieve records (datasets metadata) from datasets registered at GBIF by the IAvH IPT installation (http://ipt.sibcolombia.net/iavh/): http://api.gbif.org/v1/oai-pmh/registry?verb=ListRecords&metadataPrefix=...
Hope this helps,
Christian Gendreau
