Hello GBIF Community, My name is Solmaz, and I am an architect and environmentalist based in Tabriz, Iran. I am actively involved in bird monitoring and biodiversity citizen science projects project . I am very interested in contributing to open biodiversity data and learning from global experiences. I would be glad to share my local data, insights, and experiences, and to collaborate with others on biodiversity monitoring, data management, and Indigenous/local community knowledge. Congratulations to the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization for its recent decision to create the Amazon Indigenous Peoples’ Mechanism<https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kbN8W84LgOI34lHQcqajIiqpKJzRoe12/view> (MAPI), which establishes a formal role for Indigenous peoples within their governance mechanisms.
