Thanks, I appreciate it! I’ll make time to read through items in the work plan and if I have any, add comments from my notes - which I have yet to properly review since our meeting.
It’s been flat out here in February but I’m hoping to find time to focus on GBIF-OBIS collaboration work soon.

Subject: [GBIF-OBIS]Annual Work Plan updates
Dear GBIF-OBIS Implementation Group,
In the folder you will find a folder for our January meeting and two new documents. The first I have called OBIS_GBIF_Work_Plan where I have attempted to synthesis our discussions into a number of categories and the actions we expect to undertake under those
categories for this year. In this document at the bottom, you will find a URL to a spreadsheet where I am tracking progress towards each of the actions identified at our January meeting. You will find a link(s) to relevant resources for each action, people
responsible for those actions, and links to outputs under each action where the action is complete. I was thinking that this could be a good starting point to track our progress and allow us all to keep up to date with activities.
I have also included an Events_2026 file in the shared folder where I have provided details of all events in our calendar for 2026 and who, if anybody, from the GBIF network will be attending those events.
Given that a lot of activities are dependent on the discussions between Pieter and GBIF on his visit (draft agenda to be found in actions spreadsheet), I suggest that we schedule a catch up following his visit to discuss what the next steps would be following
his visit. We are currently in the process of confirming dates for his visit, so I will get back to you once that is confirmed on potential dates for our next meeting.
Feedback much appreciated.
Best, Andrew
