Hi Melodie and Team,

I think the report looks very good and is ready to go.  This captures the key outputs/recommendations and is nicely organized --- distilling the main priorities while also providing more depth and rationale across a range of useful (and important topics). Thanks for all the hard work on this!

I have added a few minor revisions / suggestions for consideration to the document.  All are straightforward and may take 20-30 minutes to review + accept/reject.

I see that we dropped the element on additional possible activities that we may pursue as a group, beyond this report.  I think this is fine and probably reads better this way, but I would still like to advance some of these to publication --- building on our discussions/ideas.  For that matter, I also still believe the report could be the basis of a publication --- which would reach a broader audience and underscore further the integration of GBIF with other resources outlined here.

Again, sorry to be slow on this round of comments and hope these are useful.

Regards,

Greg

Hi Greg
That will be great - I'll wait for your inputs. I know exactly what you mean about multiple balls in the air - many of mine being dropped at the moment )-:
Thanks

Hi Melodie and all,

I hope to review and comment tomorrow morning (my time-- California), if ok --- but don't want to impede progress.

Sorry to be slow.  Just too many commitments this week --- and just now coming up for air.

Dear Task Group

Many thanks to those who have edited the two online docs so far. I have been through your suggestions and comments on the GDrive versions and accepted/edited as required (so don't be alarmed if it looks as though your comments have disappeared - they have been absorbed).

Dmitry/Shyama - please could you edit Fig 3 and its legends based on Dmitry's last round of e-mail comments.

I have also made a few additions to the Appendix B which you might want to look at, and a bit of extra text to the end of the executive summary - too strong??

Please let me know if you still want to edit/add comments to the online versions before I take it offline and send it to Dmitry and team for formatting?

Many thanks
Melodie

Morning / evening Task Group

I have now added the Appendix B on the GDrive, google doc with 1 November date. There are still a few odds and ends that need to be dealt with but please go ahead and add any final edits that you have. Greg, I have copied your comments across onto this document - so the comments look as though they are from me (mainly the ones on the DwC section Quentin).

Many thanks. I'll also do a bit of work on the drive version over the weekend and early next week we can hand it over to Dmitry.

Best
Melodie

Dear all

The next version of the final report is on the G Drive with 1 November date. I haven't had time to do as much as I would have liked to, but it is pretty much there now I think. Still working on the Appendix B document - I'll let you know once its up as well.

Thanks
Melodie
