<div>The other is the issue with the circles vs rectangular grids... The SOLR index effectively uses a grid but we are displaying circles and so there are cases where the circle and grid don't overlap (intersect). The occurrence search page does have a function
to search with a point and radius (circle), but we don't facet using this function (only the grid). In the image below (or attached) you can see the blue points are contained in both the circle and the grid but the red points are not in the circle, only in
the grid. When there is a case of only a few points like the red ones, then the search page reports "no records found" (using the point and radius function). The fix is to display a grid on the EYA map, instead of circles (which version 0.1 originally had).</div>

I ran it through <a href="http://browsershots.org">http://browsershots.org</a> and you can see that it differs significantly across browsers…<br>

I think you use VirtualBox, so perhaps it is worth pulling a Windows image [1] and doing some testing using those? It’s time consuming, but I don’t know of a better way to do testing across OS / Browser combinations and we manually do that here - if anyone
knows a better approach, please ping me!<br>

The URLs look to be the same, so maybe there is a locale or charset difference? Or else a reindex has changed something since you created your screenshots.<br>

I think this is a minor bug in the way the records are being assigned to each circle (on the map in EYA) - the actual geospatial shape for these groupings (in the index) is actually a rectangle (grid), not a circle but we ended up using circles because that's
what people were asking for... A work-around could be to slightly increase the radius to catch the records just outside the circle being generated. E.g. your link (step 3) that showed no records, does show records when the radius is increased from 0.05 to
0.06:<br>

I have the same error in my server, Both in the explore your area and in the occurrence map view, when I click in one point on the map that has more than one occurrence in this location. In the balloon, when I click on the link "view all" the same error occurs.<br>

You also might want to look at the DEBUG level logging in generic-hub tomcat log to see what the URLs that are being sent to biocache-service are for those search pages which are returning zero results. They might be using a different 'qc' param, etc?<br>

But I want to do one puntualization. In the first case, it makes no sense that the system shows us that error, because we are filtering the records that we want that the system shows us, when we click on the link of the bubble of that specific point in the
area. I hope this helps to trace the error.<br>
